Alright ghouls and gals, Halloween is in a week. Got your costume figured out yet? Didn't think so. But that's ok, just throw on the smallest, brightest, furriest clothing you have available and head over to Hard Haunted Mansion in Los Angeles. This is the fifth year running of Hard's biggest festival, and boasts a killer lineup. This two night event is 18+, and will have you raging from 5:30 until 2:00 AM both Friday and Saturday. Hosted in the massive Shrine Auditorium, headliners include:

Avicii, Fedde Remixes Play Nice

You wouldn't think that Coldplay and Dj's would come together like Bill and Monica. When people are hammed at a club or rave, in most cases they aren't concerned with reflecting on the more sensitive aspects of life generally evinced by Chris Martin's lyrics. That said, he is a great singer, and as the release of Coldplay's newest album draws closer (October 25th), the biggest producers in the electronic world are remixing left and right. The Avicii remix of 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' came out just a few weeks ago, and Fedde le Grand's remix of 'Paradise' premiered last Friday on Pete Tong's show. Here are both, and assuredly with many more to come.

Example + Flux Pavilion Go for a Run

Example likes good remixes. I like good remixes. In the same vein as the Doctor P remix of Example's 'Last Ones Standing', Flux Pavilion has wrecked his new track 'Midnight Run'. Wrecked meaning turned it into a heavy hitting, electro-toxic tune with Example's killer vocals.

New Ones - Alesso, Porter Robinson, Tiesto

Alesso has blown onto the scene so fast and hard it would make Pamela Anderson jealous. After his hit remix of Dúne's 'Heiress Of Valentina' at the end of last year, he released a remix of Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji - 'Pressure', and now this, 'River Flows in You'. At only 19 year old, he joins the ranks of young DJ's like Porter Robinson (19) and Netsky (20). Porter Robinson's new track 'Spitfire' hits hard, and since he is currently on tour with Tiesto, it was necessary to post a recent Tiesto track as well.

The Other Dirty South

This track was chosen by the Swedish House Mafia as the record of the week when they sat in for Pete Tong recently. Dirty South is a Serbian-born Australian, signed on Axwell's label Axtone Records. His 2010 track 'Phazing' garnered lots of attention, and with the release of this song, plan to be seeing a lot more of the dirty Serbian/Australian DJ. Excuse the shouting Swedes in the beginning of the song - it hasn't been officially released yet so we'll have to make do with this recording for now.

Essentially, Kaskade

Kaskade - straightforward, to the point, 4/4 house beats with melodic, euphoric vocals. The paradigm of big room euphoric house music. He has become known as the American pioneer of house, bringing it back to the musical forefront in the States. He grew up near Chicago, at the heart of house origins and began producing at a young age. Fun fact: Kaskade is a devout Mormon. Even more fun (well, probably less fun) fact: Kaskade has never had a drink of alcohol in his life (Source). Whatever he's doing, it's working.
