Kaskade debuted his seventh studio album, Fire & Ice, on October 25th with Ultra Records. The CD includes hit singles 'Eyes', 'Turn It Down' and 'Lessons in Love' and debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200. All in all, a killer album, and remixes are sure to come (keeping my fingers crossed for something by Dada Life).
3LAU is another mashup artist. But after hearing his remix/mashup of Porter Robinson's 'Unsion', I was intrigued. Sure, mashup artists are a dime a dozen, and these days any frat bro who thinks himself a DJ can throw some Britney vocals over 'Ghosts n Stuff' with no trouble. But this guy is getting creative, mixing dubstep with nu disco, pop, rap and everything in between. Also, his album is free to download from his website - it don't get any cheaper than that. Thinking his name is pronounced Blau...but who knows. That one DJ is pronounced Deadmau-five right?
